THE Camping Barn
The Camping Barn (once a school!) offers the adventurer a safe haven in the beautiful wilderness of the Cheviot hills.
There are two wooden sleeping platforms at either side of the barn. Comfortable chesterfield chairs and sofa together with a Barrowburn felted fleece rug beside the new wood burning stove offer an opportunity to get cosy after a day exploring the wilderness. See photos below.
You can purchase a 'firepack' from us for £7.00 which will be waiting by the stove for you or bring your own fuel if you prefer.
You are welcome to bring your dog.
There is now a toilet and shower inside the Camping Barn (see photo below) with hot water on demand from the gas boiler. There is a kitchen with gas hobs and gas oven and fridge. Water comes straight from a spring and it is recommended you boil before use or bring bottled water for drinking. The kitchen contains cutlery, crockery and saucepans. Plenty of tables and benches enable practical communal eating. Please bring your own towels and tea towels.
Cost is £60 per night during the week and £80 per night at weekends and there is a minimum two night booking. Click on the 'book accommodation' tab above to make a booking or feel free to contact us for further information.
Due to Northumberland's current Covid restrictions (tier 2), you may only book with members of your own household or support bubble at this time.
Please note check-in time is from 4pm unless by arrangement. Please depart by 10.00am on day of departure.
